Mary McCormack was an American actress, best known for her roles as the protagonist in TV series such as "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Alongside her television performances, she has been recognized for her films like Private Parts, Deep Impact,?True Crime? and?"1408". McCormack is a native of Connecticut, born into a family without any entertainment connection in any way in her family tree is the child of a clinical therapist and the proprietor of an Ice Cream Shop. She went to Wardlaw-Hartridge School, and following the separation from her parents around 1990, went on to attend Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut where she graduated with a BA degree in the field of comparative arts. In her early twenties when she began her stage career, it started with a performance of "Amahl The Night Visitor, and Amahl", a holiday opera. She continued to play in the theatre, and eventually landed roles both on small and the big screens. The versatility of McCormack is well-known in the present. She has three daughters together with her husband, director/producer Michael Morris.
